them. Example: A computer

bedroom. The computer in the living
room calls the computer in the
bedroom and retrieves the information
that it needs.

does the Internet Work? :
Internet Service Providers
(ISPÕS) connect everyone to the
internet. Example: America
On-line. You pay America On-Line
a monthly maintenance fee to stay
on-line. You (your computer) will
call a local access number( a
computer close to your location);this
computer, in-turn ,will log-on
to the main server( Big Computer/Main-Frame)
and gain you access to the internet.(Which
is a series of thousands and thousands
of computers connected together
via a network). Like a pyramid!
What
is http? :
Http stands for Hyper Text
Transfer Protocol. This is
the language that the computer
interprets through the internet
to gain access to web pages/websites.
It is the beginning part of the
address to find a website. (http://www.somewebsite.com)
What
is HTML:
Hyper Text Mark-up Language.
Created in 1989 as a means to
transfer data and images back
and for through an intranet.
How
do people find my Website on the
Internet?:

By placing a description of your
website onto search engines, a
user(person) can utilize the search
engine by typing in a subject
that they would like to find and
your business address(web site
address/URL) would pop up so they
may select it to go to your site.

in all of your print media advertising.

or products is being mentioned.
